Site visits and office workshops helped to give a construction student an insight into quantity surveying and project management. Aaron Moore, who is working towards a BTEC Level 3 in Construction in the Built Environment at Wakefield College, shadowed Shelby director Steve Tighe and the team over two days. This included a site visit to see RAAC remedial works being undertaken at Airedale General Hospital.
Steve said: “Aaron is a great example of an intelligent, ambitious, and enthusiastic learner and someone that will be successful in whatever he chooses to do…hopefully Quantity Surveying! It was great to spend a couple of days with him – both in the office and on site.’
Aaron added: “I just want to say a big thank you to Steve and Shelby for their help and support. It has been a very insightful experience into the world of construction.’
