Shelby Group has been applauded for its sponsorship of a junior football team in Lancashire. Poulton Town Junior Football Club’s Under 7s were sponsored by Shelby Group at the beginning of the 2016/17 season to help fund the new team strip. The construction consultancy business was among local companies publicly commended for their generous contributions at the club’s end-of-season Presentation Day on 14th May.
Shelby Group’s Chairman Phil Taylor manages the Under 7s team in his spare time. He explained:
“This team was formed last September and appealed for a business to sponsor its match kit. Shelby Group was delighted to be able to contribute to this local community cause.”
“I have been exceptionally proud of all the U7s teams, which have gone from strength to strength throughout the season. As with a successful business, the key has been establishing good teamwork.”
