Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves paid a visit to one of our projects in West Yorkshire, marking a proud moment for the team at Shelby.
We are providing project management, quantity surveying and principal designer services for the new Springfield Commercial Centre in Farsley - a development of eight hybrid units designed to meet growing demand from businesses seeking modern, flexible workspace.
Each unit will feature a ground-floor workshop, first-floor office space and dedicated parking, offering adaptable solutions to support the evolving needs of commercial enterprises.
During her visit, Rachel Reeves said: “It was a pleasure to visit Springfield Mills and see the work they’re doing to expand their units. Farsley continues to attract more inward investment from businesses, creating jobs and helping grow the local economy.”
Chris Pratt, Director at Gaunts Ltd, who run Springfield Mills, shared his enthusiasm too: “We receive many enquiries from businesses for this kind of space, so it made sense from a practical and environmental point of view to use the existing land we have here. We’re pleased to be working with regional firms OGL Construction, Shelby and architects Bowman Riley from the start on all aspects of design, build, costings and detailed plans.”
At Shelby, we’re proud to play our part in shaping spaces that help local businesses grow and communities thrive.
